I'm a strategic designer of meaningful, memorable and creative stuff. I discover solutions that are equal parts strategic thinking and creative inspiration.

My specialty is developing brand identity solutions for organizations of all sizes. I am a resource for nearly every need; brand messaging, retail package and structural design, user interface (UI) and experience (UX), website design, and logo identity development. Animation, story-telling and narration also keeps me busy.

My skillset has been put to good use, with over ten years' experience implementing strategic design solutions for both established, high profile corporations and emerging entrepreneurial companies including Toshiba, Symantec, SanDisk, Sling Media, Verisign, and Blackhawk Networks. I hold an MBA in Design Strategy from the California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco, and a BS in Graphic Design from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. My education and experience offers clients a unique approach to problem solving that features core competencies such as design research and analysis, strategy, systems thinking, and new product and service development.

I believe that every aspect of life colors your design personality, so naturally my interests encompass wide swaths of intellectual and cultural territory. History, philosophy and religion mix freely with 40's-era cartoons, gypsy-jazz music, and outdoor pursuits. Quality time with my wife and two children are essential to my design perspective; I'm currently being re-sensitized in art and drama by my daughters.
